I'd like to show you a sneak peek of the soon to be released Nursery Rhyme Collection from Nutcrafters. The stamps will be made from clear polymer and will retail between £4.00 and £4.50. They will be released on the 9th January 2012.

Katie, Colette and myself would like to say a big thank you to all the lovely people we met at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show in Leigh and Happy Stampers Northwest in Port Sunlight I was delighted with the response my scrapling baggy received. Sorry I could not find a video for the scrapling baggy but here are some photo's of the scrapling baggy's and a list of measurements.

I discovered this idea on the Split Coast Stampers site, it lead me to this blog My Creative Place, Paola has some fantastic paper crafting ideas.

A scrapling is the left over piece from a square card. I use a piece of A4 white hammered card score it down the middle, then cut to a measurement of 14.5cm square. The left over piece is your scrapling.

Your scrapling should measure 6.5cm x 29.6cm, when folded it will measure 6.5cm x 14.8cm.

Open the scrapling out and on the top edge punch a decorative edge. I used a Martha Stewart border punch Scallop Dot.

Using your score board, (I used an Eazi Score Board) line up the folded edge of your scrapling to the edge of your board and score a line on the Box 1 line this is 2cms wide, flip the scrapling over and score again on the Box 1 line.

Turn you scrapling around to the punched edge and score a line on the Box 2 line this is 2.5cm wide, flip the scrapling over and score again on the Box 1 line.

Trim away the scored line on the unpunched side of the scrapling.

You are now ready to decorate your scrapling.

To decorate the front I have used a piece of card measuring 9.5cm x 6cm.

The design paper measures 9cm x 5.5cm. I have used a Doodlebug Designs Inc paper.

The cellophane bag measures 11cm x 6cm. You can use any bags just cut them down to size.

Fill you bag with goodies, place inside your scrappling, fold down the top and staple together. Then add your stamped image I have used the Nutcrafters Pink Frosting stamp set.

BLOG RELAUNCH AND DESIGN TEAM CALL

We have some exciting things happening over the next few months at Nutcrafters, and top of the list is our blog relaunch and DT call!

September 7th will see the relaunch of our blog with a new line up of activities and some fresh new faces added to our DT.

The following week, Wednesday 14th September will be our very first challenge on the new and improved Nutcrafters blog with some great prizes up for grabs and free digi images to get everyone started!

Would you like to join our new Design Team? If you have bags of enthusiasm, a creative flair and a love of our stamps, why not give it a go!

I just love these two cuties and they are a dream to colour- nice and chunky ; ).

I thought the rustic red and green suited the image and the strawberry backing paper was the obvious choice.

DIGI SQUARE DELIGHTS

Today we have a few cards featuring our new Digi Stamp Squares to share.

There are 6 new designs and each pack contains 12 squares (2 of each design). Although created with a summery vibe, I think they can be used any time and containing both male and female images, they are a handy little go-to when you need to whip up a quick card or ideal if you love colouring.

Each image is coloured with Promarkers (they work really well on the smooth card the images are printed on) and the flowers used can be found over at www.nutcrafters.com. The two girly cards feature a few sneaky peaks of new items soon to be in our store too. The sentiment and tag are part of one of our new sentiment sets, due for release next week, and the bunting card also shows off one of our new Resin Cameos, perfect for a vintage style card. It's been a while but once again we are back to our blogging ways (these babies sure know how to keep us busy)!

We have some fantastic new stamps on sale over in our store right now as well as a whole heap of gorgeous new flowers, charms and embellishments.

KARENS CREATIONS

Today we have two fab cards from our DT member Karen to share.

This first card is using the Giraffe from our Safari Trio. He looks extra cute in blue and the perfect card for any little boy.

Karen's other card has been created using our new Bunny and Me stamp.

I just love how Karen has polka dotted the baby grow and added that cute little bow!

GIRAFFE GIGGLES

I have managed to get some computer time today, so have a quick post to share before I start all my jobs! We have two cards to show, both inspired by the arrival of baby Isobel.

First is featuring our cute Giraffe from our Safari Trio set, I love this little guy and think he is perfect for all kinds of cards. I have used a Martha Stewart Butterfly border punch and Sizzix letter dies.

For the next card I have used Teddy and Me, this little one is my absolute favourite from our new stamps (it was inspired by some photos I took of Gabriel) and think it looks really good in the vintage brown colours used here.

The embellishments used include Fancy Lace, Sizzix Button Dies, Marriane D die cut, and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley, which seemed to fit perfectly. Papers on both cards are from Animal Antics pad.

Im off now to get my chores done, and hopefully add some more lovely new items to our web store.

3 MONSTERS AND A BABY!

Thursday already, these days are just flying by! So baby Gabriel kept me too busy to blog yesterday, which means I have two cards to share today.

First up is definitely one for the boys featuring one of our new stamp sets - Monster Trio.

I have stamped each image, but chosen to colour just one (he's my favourite, I love how he looks all gloopy) with colours to match the papers. To keep things nice and simple, I have just added a few buttons for decoration. Although these stamps are very boyish, they work well for all ages, even the monster loving boys over 10 ; )

My second card for today is also all about the boys, featuring Bunny and Me. This stamp is a bit of a chameleon, just as the other new baby images are, it looks so different just by changing the colours.

Today its a boys theme and this is a good stamp for new babies (can you guess where my inspiration came from) and I think it works well for other celebrations too, such as Christenings and first birthdays.

The bunny has been stamped twice and decoupaged to give extra depth, and I've also added on of our new safety pin charms.

Both images have been coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from the Animal Antics paper pad.

RELEASE DAY

Happy Tuesday to everyone. Today is the release of our 12 new 'Quirky Individuals' stamps and 2 new stamp sets, and the beginning of our showcase.

To kick things off we have a yummy scrummy card featuring one of our cute fairy stamps - Fairy Cake.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and embellished with Stickles. The flowers are from Prima and the papers are by Papermania.

This is one of my favourites from our new stamps, maybe because I'm such a cake face!

We also have a DT update. To everyone who applied last year, please accept our huge apologies for not following up on our DT request. Towards the end of last year, we had unexpected family issues that took a lot of our time, and as a result could not carry on with the blog.

Now that we are BACK! we hope to re-launch our Challenge blog and DT, and get some fabulous brand spanking new ideas and fresh faces on there.

To keep things fair, we will start our DT request from scratch, giving everyone who wants to try out the same chance, so please keep your eyes peeled, as it won't be a long wait.

NEW ARRIVALS

Hello everyone, I'm back! After a very very very long absence, I am pleased to say we are back blogging and what better way to start things off than to announce some new arrivals.

The most important one of all is Colette's new baby girl, Isobel Bailey, who will be two weeks old tomorrow!

Now that our little baby Nuts have arrived safe and sound, we are super excited to release our 12 new 'Quirky Individuals' stamps and 2 new stamp sets, all of which are available in the web shop from tomorrow, Tuesday 8th March.

We also have lots of lovely new Charms in stock and by the end of the week, new Mulberry Paper Flowers and lengths of Lace too.

We will be showcasing our new stamp designs all week and hope to have some photos of baby Gabriel and Baby Isobel to share soon.

A Belated Happy New Year!

Hello and A Happy New Year To You!

Just a quick post to wish you well in 2011 and apologise for not being around that much in the last few months. Unfortunately our Christmas and New Year holidays were a mixture of tears of joy and happiness, a the death of a close family member and the arrival of Kate's baby boy - Gabriel Vincent last week. Hopefully though, we will get back in the swing of things soon.

Plans for 2011 include - stalls at Happy Stampers Port Sunlight in May and the release of some very cute Harriet stamps in time for Spring. I also know that Kate is alternating nappy changes with some frantic scribbling in order to bring you some new Nutcrafters characters this year. Once she's back on her feet, she also has plans to relaunch the Nutshells blog and challenge, so stay tuned for that.

For now though, I'm off to rest my heavily pregnant limbs and launch a 10% sale on our website to celebrate the arrival of Baby Gabriel.

STRIPEY SWEET TREAT

It has been a while, but after our MIA stint we are back! Life caught up with us in a very hectic fashion recently and boy did it knock us over. We have some very exciting arrivals joining the Nutcrafters and I don't mean stamps ...! Both myself and Colette are expecting our first babies early next year and despite the exhaustion, we are extremely excited :)

We have another great challenge and prize over at our Nutshells blog this week, its a nice and easy one too, simply use stripes on your project.

For my sample card I have used one of our cute new Nutshells Sweet Treat Tash who comes with a mini candy cane stamp. I thought the idea of an easel card representing a present was a perfect idea using stripey dp for wrapping paper.

We also have more great new products added to www.nutcrafters.com this week, including a selection of Dawn stamps and Nellie and Marianne D dies.

Pink Pamper - Our New Breast Cancer Awareness Digistamp Set

You loved her last year and this year sees a much more relaxed Nutshell Pecan helping to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. After being featured in this month's Card-Making and Papercrafts, we've had so many emails enquiring about Pecan that we have had to bring forward the October release of our new Pink Pamper Digistamp set!

Last year we were able to donate just under £100 to Breast Cancer Awareness following the success of our Pink Frosting Digistamp set. This year we hope to raise much more with Pink Pamper. The full set includes three character images of Pecan, along with a dressing table, chaise lounge and two sentiments, so Pink Pamper is ideal for all your birthday, get well wishes, invitations and friendship cards!

Happy Friday everyone, we hope you have had a good week and are ready for a relaxing weekend?

Today we are launching our hunt for some talented crafters to join our existing and amazing DT.

Sadly over the last month we have lost a few of our DT and we now have Full Time and Guest Design Team positions available.

So my week has not gone exactly to plan, it started really well with a nice bank holiday and the release of our new Pink Frosting stamp set, but then the bug arrived :(

WICKED WEEKEND

We have another Bank Holiday here in the UK this weekend (Hooray!) but it is almost the last of the year, which seems to be flying by so quickly!

I'm finally getting back into the swing of things after a few days off, and I just couldn't resist the charms of the new TGF Roll Call kit.

Flirty Edward was screaming "Use Me" and hey, it would have been rude to refuse! :)

I have coloured him with Grey Tone Promarkers and embellished my card with Prima E Crystals.

Next week we have lots of fun in store with some special announcements, Previews and maybe some wonderful blog candy too. Be sure to join us for the fun.

SWIRLY GIRLY PART 2

Today I have another girly card to share and some exciting news to reveal!

First my card. I have used TGF Olivia and her adorable cat (who I've decided to call Chester) from the OA Buddies set.

The flourishes today are courtesy of my Sizzix big shot and Die, and the super cute pink polka dot flower is from Prima 'Love Story' collection.

I have coloured Olivia with Promarkers and finished my card with a Friends tag charm.

SWIRLY GIRLY PART 1

So my favourite type of cards to make are definitely Girly cards. Maybe because they always look so pretty, or is it because they are so much easier than boys cards? I don't know, but with all the great fun embellishment there are at the moment Swirly Girly card just got a whole lot more exciting!

My first card is super 'swirly' with a Prima E crystal Flourish and very 'Girly' with this uber cute Madelyn stamp from TGF and these adorable Prima flowers. And for an extra bit of girly chic, I have added a couple of Fancy pins to the mix! All available here.

SPRING FLING

We are having a touch of Spring fever over at our Nutshells blog at the moment!

Our current challenge is to create a Spring inspired card, so think flowers, sunny colours or cute baby animals... whatever reminds you of Spring.

For my card I have used Cutie Pie Thankful Rae, whom I always think looks springy! I have coloured her with the seasonal Promarker sets and embellished my card with Prima Camelot Roses, which by coincidence is this weeks Prize! We are offering one lucky winner a set of Prima Camelot Roses and their choice of any Nutcrafters digi stamp single or set.

Our wonderful DT team have created some fab cards for inspiration and we also have our two new Guest DT members joining us early for this challenge. ALTERED ART ...(well almost!)

It's Friday again and my crafting week hasn't exactly gone to plan but for good reason ;)

Tomorrow is the final part to Colette's wedding celebrations, she is having a party for family and friends who didn't make it to Scotland (about 200 people!).

This time we are going all out with the Mad Hatters Tea Party theme and we have been busy bees making decorations and baking cupcakes and desserts for everyone. We have made some great things and hopefully I will have a few more photos to share next week. There will be a pick'n'mix sweet stall, giant playing cards and a few characters dotted here and there.

So since I sadly have no cards to share I thought I would show a couple of items which I have altered with the help of some fabulous Prima products.

This was my Mini Top Hat I wore to the wedding, decorated with Prima Camelot Roses - Burton.

And these are my dancing shoes. Although I liked the way they were to start I love them even more now they have been altered with Prima Cameo Roses and Prima E Pearls.

The Pearl I used was the Heart shaped one, split in half, and although my shoes are not symmetrical, I think they look uber cool!

It has been another lovely start to a new week here in Manchester, and we have some sad news and good news to share.

Sadly at the end of April our lovely DT member Jacilynn will be leaving us, and we have had the difficult task of filling her talented shoes!

After our DT call a few weeks ago, and some difficult choices to make, we have some new members to welcome to our team.

We have the lovely Kathy joining us as a Full time DT member

Hi all. What a week, new tax year meaning lots of paper work :( but also lots of new goodies have arrived today :) I always get that warm fuzzy feeling when we get a new delivery.

We have lots of great items from Prima including what I have used on my card, clear stamp - Little Girls, Cameo Roses Aqua and adorable Prima E line pearls.

We have lots of great new flowers, crystals and clear stamps which come with extra bling ;), and a great selection of new Promarkers from Letraset, including these amazing Rubber Stamping sets 1&2.

FEW PHOTOS

I feel so out of sorts at the moment, I'm not sure if its having a few days away or that it was a bank holiday weekend, but I am looking forward to next week when things return to normal! Since I have not had a chance to create anything this week (still catching up on paper work - very glum:( ), I thought I would leave you with a few pics from Colette's wedding. We travelled up to Scotland on Wednesday, not knowing if the wedding would even take place. There had been so much snow fall that the roads to the hotel were closed and there was no staff or food either!

We had to detour to Edinburgh (via Glasgow!) for Wednesday night and were able to continue on our journey to Peebles for the wedding on Thursday afternoon.

It was an amazing day and the snow just set the scene. Memorable.

Good morning everyone. WOW! Thank you to everyone who entered our DT call, we have had a great response. Today is my first day back after Colette's wedding Celebrations in Scotland last week. After a few hiccups, we had a great time and hopefully I will be back later with a few photos too.

DESIGN TEAM CALL

It is that time again and we are looking for some new crafter's to join our team.

We are hoping to snag ourselves a full time DT member and a couple of Guest DT members too, this time though we are shaking things up!

We have a free image for everyone to use on their submissions and a bonus set of complimentary images FREE for everyone who enters.

Our crazy Tea party images have been created especially for this challenge, as this week we are celebrating Colette's wedding with a fun & fantastic 'Mad Hatters Tea Party'.

So if you would like to try out for our DT (and we hope that you do) simply save that Hatter image, create a wonderful card/project with it and link it back to us in the comments below this post with your email address. Alternatively you can email us with your cards at enquiries@nutcrafters.com

NUTTY NUTSHELLS #12

We have a great new challenge this week over at our Nutshells blog. Challenge #12 is to create something Easter/Spring themed, that's it! Nice, easy and simple, so what are you waiting for.

I have used Spring Harriet, and this is the very first easel card I have made and boy are they addictive! I love how they show off your image and lots more detail than regular folded cards.

I have used papers from my stash, decorated with my boarder punch, and Prima Essentials 7 Indeed flowers with a couple of fancy pins. To keep the card open, I have added a Prima Pebble with a vintage flower design.

We have a very exciting announcement to make on Monday with a free treat for everyone who stops by, but if you can't wait till then, join us again tomorrow for a sneak peak of whats to come!

Today we have another new Digi to share, Easter Buddy Bear. Our new Buddy image is available from tomorrow as a digital download on our Nutcrafters site.

Perfect for children and adults alike, Easter Buddy and his little bunny Friend are all ready for their egg hunt!

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I have made a little Easter egg from an oval Nestabilitie and blue and white polka dot ribbon.

Here we are into March already! I am hoping some nice weather will be arriving soon also , but while we wait, we have a few new Spring time images to share.

I have chosen to use one of our NEW Cutie Pie stamps for my card - Luna Cupcake Fairy.

This is one of my favourite colour combinations, I love green on its own, but through in a touch of pink and I'm in heaven! I have finished my card with lots of sparkle (you can never have too much) and a cute cherry charm.
